The Arena, located in Witchwood, is where Heroes far and wide come to test their mettle and prove their worth. Only 4 known people have finished the arena without taking a break: Jack of Blades, Thunder, the Hero of Oakvale and Whisper.
When the Guild was still taking shape, Nostro, its founder, commissioned a number of great creations. Amongst these, was the Witchwood Arena - a giant Colosseum for the intended use of being a venue in which anyone could settle disputes in public. However, under the sway of his power-hungry wife Magdalena, the Arena was debased into nothing more than a popular source of entertainment - as seen in Fable.
Between Fable: The Lost Chapters and Fable II Edit
Between the events of Fable and Fable II the Witchwood Arena is used to execute captured Heroes. Some may attempt to fight for freedom, but regardless of whether they win or lose they are burned on the Pyre.
The Witchwood Arena is replaced by the Crucible in Fable II after Witchwood Arena was destroyed.
