Talk Page Comments Edit

Hi, when writing on talk pages, please put the comment as close to the edge of the edit box as possible. If you put spaces before the comment, it will be displayed like

We do not really like that and it would be better if you were to use : as a form of putting your comment indented.

Also, could you please link your signature to your user page at the very least, if not your talk page too.

Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon (talk)☆ 05:24, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

That's all right. I like to help new members. Also, in future can you reply to my comments where I left them as I like to keep a conversation in one place. Thank you, ☆The Solar Dragon (talk)☆ 05:30, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

Ages of potions Edit

Are you using regular Fable or Fable TLC? --JonTheMon 16:44, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Regular Fable why?--Alpha Lycos 21:35, November 18, 2009 (UTC)
Wow, kinda forgot about this. I have TLC, and I'm getting 1100 from each potion. Changing each page accordingly. --JonTheMon 03:21, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Talk Pages Edit

You were absolutely right. Talk page comments shouldn't be deleted unless they are vandalism themselves. The only thing we do to them is archive them, to clear the original page, and only the admins should do that (unless it's your own user talk page). Of course though you can request the archiving of a talk page if you think it's getting too long. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 14:15, October 12, 2010 (UTC)

Rollback Edit

Congratulations, you now have Rollback rights! Feel free to use these in your continuing battle against vandalism. You can also now add pages to the Vandalism Watch, if they have been attacked by three different vandals within two days, with Blue Lock Protection by adding to a page. See the Protection Policy for more information. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 20:47, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Also, feel free to make use of the Vandalism Warning Message. It's the one that gets put on a user talk page that warns them they'll get blocked if they continue. Just type on their talk page. -E 21:37, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you :) I shall continue the good fight to keep this wiki free from vandalism. I was wondering what Rollback rights were but now I can know :) Thanks again Enodoc --Alpha Lycos 03:37, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. Thanks also to Michaeldsuarez for approving it. Also, just to let you know, Rollback should only be used for reverting vandalism. If you want to revert a so-called "Good Faith Edit" you should use the normal Undo button, and give a reason for the reversion in the Edit Summary, as Rollback doesn't allow for adding reasons. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 14:52, October 19, 2010 (UTC)
Yea I found that out accidentally last night. I shouldn't to edits when half asleep. Twice I accidentally hit rollback instead of undo. Wasn't until after the page loaded that I realized what had happened and I was like "Crap" --Alpha Lycos 23:29, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

Hey how did you get your status in the fable games put on your profile?

"I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes," -Holden Caulfield 13:53, October 27, 2010 (UTC)Michael

Hey just wonderin how you were able to put what u did on all the fable games on ur profile?

Some vandal help Edit

Hey, Alpha, could you rollback some edits for me? Some guy vandalised my user page twice, so now I can't undo his original vandalising due to "corrisponding edits" or something like that. So do you think you could rollback them for me? Thanks. DefenestrationHappy Holloween! 00:24, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Done my friend. You should speak with Enodoc to see if there is a way to protect your page to stop future vandalism. Alpha Lycos 00:31, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you, although there is a little problem. You didn't rollback far enough, now my about me section is completely blank. Maybe just rollback to the last revision done by me? Thank you and hopefully there is a way to protect my page against vandals. DefenestrationHappy Holloween! 00:36, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Sadly rollback only allows an instant undo. It reverts back by one. So if I rollback again it will undo my rollback. I think Enodoc or one of the other mods might be able to get it back to the last revision by you Alpha Lycos 00:38, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I was gonna re-do my userpage soon anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Thanks for the help, anyways. DefenestrationHappy Holloween! 00:43, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

My bad lol I'm multitasking while playing Fable III Alpha Lycos 06:26, November 2, 2010 (UTC)
Hmm... The only time I have done that is wondering around Bowerstone Market trying to get info on properties in Fable II. Must be quite hard. Well, if you find any one off items, remember to make an article about it ASAP with all the details before you lose it. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 06:28, November 2, 2010 (UTC)
Yea I did that with the Equaliser. I'm still hunting for 15more legendary weapons. Got over 1billion gold to spend to get them lol Alpha Lycos 06:30, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Legendary Weapons Edit

Well, I don't have Gold yet, although I have the activation code for it. I will tell you my gamertag once I get Gold online. I only recently activated Live and still have a crap default name... ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 06:26, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Alright. Well I only need like 10 more. Oh and if you have a Chef's hat that will help greatly. I only need those two things to complete every achievement for the game. Alpha Lycos 06:28, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Flit Switches Edit

I have played they game all the way through, and they do not appear anywhere else besides the reqreium in Brightwall. Seriously, they only appear in Fable 3 to introduce the new weapons.

Pokakaa 04:09, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

They also appear in Driftwood, Mourning wood, Aurora and a couple of other places I forget. Alpha Lycos 04:10, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

I didn't see them there. I looked around too. Pokakaa 04:14, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

In Mourning Wood there is some in the Dark Sanctum needed to get to the legendary weapon. In Aurora there is some in the Veiled Path needed to get a Silver Key. In Driftwood there is one that changes between all three needed to get a Golden Key. Trust me I've played the game completely 4 times at least and have gotten almost all Achievements and legendary weapons. Alpha Lycos 04:16, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

I preordered and played it five times :P. Pokakaa 04:17, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

I've preordered as well and I still know there is more then just those flitswitches your on about. Driftwood needs to have been started as a village for that one to be accessed. The Dark Sanctum needs to be fully operational for that one. Aurora's one can be accessed only while as King/Queen or after doing the quest to get the diamond. Alpha Lycos 04:20, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

Actually we are quite equal now in regaurds to flit switch knowledge... with a space in between the words lol. Pokakaa 04:56, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

Vandal BlockingEdit

Only admins can block people right? Because there is a vandal (which I am sure you know of) on a spamming/vandal spree. Doomanvil 10:34, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

Also sorry about the accidental thing above... I don't know how to remove it... Doomanvil 10:34, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

I believe so. I do not know truly how to block but if you contact Enodoc he should be able to help. As for the thing its ok. Alpha Lycos 10:36, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

Ok. I've contacted Enodoc earlier today but he hasn't replied yet. I guess it's because of the time zone differences. Doomanvil 10:47, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

It is an admin only function, yes. If you need any help with vandals, I am English and check a few times a day. So, leave a message on either mine or Enodoc's talk page and I am sure either of us will find the message. I check Enodoc's talk page too so I should notice. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 11:13, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

Alright, thanks. But you should block his IP ( he's causing quite some damage. Doomanvil 11:23, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

That Triva Is Completely True Edit

What is wrong with it? It is completely true. Pokakaa 02:50, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Rose is already dead you can't stop her dying. Bringing her back from the dead is not the same as chosing to save her life or end it. Its completely different. Alpha Lycos 02:51, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Well then just update it! There is no need to throw out a completley interetesting triva. Pokakaa 02:53, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

But there is no true point in stating that "Killing or saving Logan is the same as killing or saving Theresa in the first game" since in the first it was to get the sword and in the third it was to punish or pardon. Two completely different reasons and two completely different outcomes. Alpha Lycos 02:55, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

It isn't the reason for it that is the point. It is the fact that you can decide on the current status of your siblings in each game. In the end the choice comes out as your sibling being dead or alive. Pokakaa 02:59, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe so but its not the same decision. Otherwise you may as well put "In Fable III the decision to pick the gender of your hero mirrors the decision in Fable II" its pointless yet true. Or you could put "Your decision to be good or evil mirrors the same decisions as the other two games" Alpha Lycos 03:05, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Those are the main themes not interesting trivia. Pokakaa 03:10, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Then technically so is the choice of sibling status. It happens in all three at the end of the game so thus must be a theme. Its still pointless trivia. Its the same as "You must defeat an evil villian" it happens in all three but its pointless to put it in trivia as its a theme. Alpha Lycos 03:13, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Actually they are all picked during different parts of the game. Logan was picked at the start of part 2 in Fable III. Theresa was picked at towards the ending of TLC and the ending of Fable. Rose was picked at the ending of Fable II. Really, in Theresa's case, TLC is the one that matters over Fable due to the fact Jack's dragon form was made canon by a demon door. Pokakaa 03:17, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

"Preordered Fable III" Userbox Edit

Where did you get the "Preordered Fable III LCE" userbox? I can't find it. Doomanvil 11:08, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Check under templates. I don't remember the code for it though lol Alpha Lycos 11:12, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, I get it now, Enodoc changed it to "this user wants to buy Fable III" lol. Doomanvil 11:43, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Lol, I had to redo the template according to the older revision. Doomanvil 11:59, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

That userbox is made with parameters. Check out Forum:Userboxes to see how they're all used - you can get it to say wants to buy, has preordered, has preordered the LCE, owns or owns the LCE by changing the parameter in the code. The different codes are:
--Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 12:01, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Oh right, thanks. That makes things easier. Doomanvil 12:03, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Warning Messages Edit

Use this: because whenever you leave a message it doesn't leave your signature. Defenestration Let's Chat 01:38, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Oh lol I always just figured it was done as normal. I'm still not very good with the templates. Alpha Lycos 01:39, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Well, you know what they say, nobody's perfect. Templates are pretty simple once you get the hang of them. DFS 02:13, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Speak: to communicate vocally. The hero speaks, just because its one word does not mean it doesn't count

Please stop deleting the facts I don't know why you can accept the truth but its getting sad

Well they were WRONG and what you keep putting up there is WRONG speaing one word is still speaking so hence The hero of Oakvale is the first to speak. If you cared at all about the facts you would accept them, I shouldn't have to spell it out for you. Also it is not stated 3 or 4 time those were WRONG.

Now you see there kid that is where you are wrong cause you are blindly following whats your told like a robot and are refusing to see the truth. Be it one word or one thousand words first to speak is first to speak so stop being a sad Lionhead puppet and accept that The hero of Oakvale was the first speaking of the 3 usable heroes

Ok kid lets go over what you sadi shall we. First you claim to not blindly follow what they say and are not a puppet, then you say "Facts are the creators have stated it and thus it is so". Second you said "Your trivia is as useful as putting in the trivia section of the Hero of Bowerstone "This is the first hero to be of either gender" The Hero from Fable 2 is the first to be playable as either gender. Last but not least because people believe The hero of Brightwood is the first to "speak" not have a spoken role but "speak" I am just showing them the truth.

Alright Jr I'll stop calling you kid, my trivia is relevant because shed light on a common mistake in public knowledge. I dont dispute the spoken role of the hero. but I do dispute him/her to speak. So stop getting all crusty about it kid.....ooops I mean Jr

I don't live with a mummy lol I ain't in Egypt. Knowledge is a complicated thing for what you feel is useless someone else might find funny or interesting. You try to play me off as a kid but all night you have been crying at me like baby to remove it., and keep getting crusty when I don't. So get a vote, hell get 100 votes but guess what I will keep posting it and keep laughing at your butthurt reactions. KID

Alrighty kid you have yourself a goodnight, fun chatting with you and trust me I couldn't give a damn what you do but you might want to think about trying to get me banned since you sent a message disputing Relegion and thats a bigtime error on the code of conduct so again good chatting with you and good luck with the vote.

Edit warring Edit

First off, don't. You should take it to the talk page and discuss it there. Since you didn't, you should probably merge your discussions into one of your talk pages, 'cause right now it looks confusing as hell. But yeah, if it's not blatant vandalism (and sometimes even then), don't edit war, that's what admins are supposed to be for. --JonTheMon 14:04, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

apology Edit

i would just liek 2 inform u that a comment u made on that A balverine guy's talk page mentioning God offended me greatly and would appreciate it if u wood apologize for yor actions, bcuz u have no idea how horribly offended i was by that comment. so u dont need to apologize, i wood just prefer u wood and that u shood consider apologizing since it is the noble thing 2 do. 03:50, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

The comment was not used to offend anyone. I used it as an example. I have no problem with any religion nor do I try to offend people. I stated my opinion about religion that is all. If it offended then I'm sorry. Its just how I see religion. Is it not fair for people to have their own beliefs about religious things? I put the comment because he said that I was following stated facts blindly. Is not religion following stated facts as well? Is religion not about faith? Faith requires blind devotion to me. Again I'm sorry if I offended it was not the intent of my comment. --Alpha Lycos 07:17, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

its ok. its just 4 a moment after reading that comment, i actually questioned his existance, and beleiv me my friend that is not a good feeling. i think i kinda got mad at u 4 sayin that, but now that i think of it, its not my choice watever u do with religeon. i was just being stupid and judgemental. for that, i am sorry. 03:52, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Its fine. To each their own about everything. --Alpha Lycos 04:30, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

i still feel like a dush, s how bout i make it up 2 u. 10, wait 20 million gold for fable 3. i have quite a bit of gold, worked hard as a rebel and broke all my promises as a king. so how bout it? 04:40, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks but I'm good. I can make about 100mill in two days if I try and thats with being a good character and keeping all promises. But thanks anyway. --Alpha Lycos 04:42, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

seriously? how do you do it? 04:51, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Hencemen wages, Buy every buyable building in the game, sell everything you don't need etc etc. On one playthrough I was earning about 1mil per 5mins --Alpha Lycos 05:24, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

I am sorry that you feel you have to act this way. I had tried being civil with you from the start by saying how the info was not needed on a page it had been stated in different wording. I am also sorry that you think I cried when all I did was laugh. Clearly you have the maturity of a child to be pulling that kind of act and bringing my mother into this. If anything the reason you get banned will be your attitude towards others with such swearing and stuff. For a religious person you have the mouth of a satan worshiper. I've never met any Christian or other religious member that swears or insults people as much as you. I truly hope that you can find peace in your life and can learn to not treat others with disrespect. Maybe then you will be more understanding with how I tried to be civil. Perhaps in another life we could have been friends. --Alpha Lycos 13:30, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

nuttin 2 do wit fable Edit

wat did u think of pirates of the caribean?

Question Edit

Why do you remove the trivia's I add to pages?

You don't mess with the Thommie! 10:29, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

Because one was wrong. The reference is to the Fable character Briar Rose not to Star Wars. And the second is unlikely because TKS is nothing like TKO and the Tee Killer Shooter has no other reference to back up the boxing thing and is more linked to drinking tequila. --Alpha Lycos 10:31, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

teresas talk page Edit

wat you put there was so dumb, i fell worried 4 u. get yer IQ checked and make sure yer fit to be editing here.

I would appreciate it if you keep your insults to yourself. If you can't say something nice don't say it. I accidentally forgot to put the rest of my sentence in, a simple mistake for anyone. And its not "Teresa" its "Theresa" and you type like someone who can't use a keyboard and yet insult me for a simple mistake? --Alpha Lycos 06:37, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
and now yer insulting me. and typing like this is a lil somethin modern ppl type like, we aaint all ancient, u got that grampa? or do u need 2 turn yer hearing aids up? aha
I'm not insulting you. I'm simply stating that before you insult someone try making sure they can't return fire if they want. And the only people who type like that are people who can't spell or are too lazy to spell. You have an entire keyboard in front of you with every letter available yet you use txt speak. --Alpha Lycos 06:43, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
well, boyo, looks like u picked up mor than u can carry. now, im gonna tell u somethin called the internet ooh ah and on the internet u dont need to act like u hav a stick up yer but and spell all goody to shoo. u got that boy? or is yer only partially developed brain unable to take that in? hows this: U NO NO NEED TO SPELL PERFECT ON INTERNET
You may not need to but its more proper and looks better to do so. It makes you look smarter and makes your typing easier to read. And if your editing pages like for this site spelling and proper grammar are essential or your info gets removed from the article. Keep doing your raging and such but I'm done dealing with you, any more from you and I'll go to the admins about hostility. --Alpha Lycos 06:52, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
i aint some baby, i can control my temper, so i aint ragin. im lafin here @ u cuz ur so pathetic. u think that just cuz u edit on this wiki makes u popular? think about it like this: u can have ur little race here, runnin around this lil track havin the time of ur life, but soon this race is gonna be over, and where are u gonna be then? thats rite, sittin at ur pathetic home wining to ur mommy about how u aint popular cuz ur a spelling fable geek who has low self esteem. and guess what? welcom to the real world, dont enjoy ur stay. learn to gorw up, boy, and learn yer facts, too.

But They're the Same Person Edit

Well, they're the same person, plus, the brain was IN her freakin head, so I'm considering she would've had to have died, permanently, for that to happen.

I never knew that Jane was the same as saying Elvira. Since they have two different first names they are not the same person. Even Enodoc, a mod on this site, has said its not the same. --Alpha Lycos 02:12, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

hiya, boyo/son/kid see u got yer feelings butthert and yer deelin wit em by messin wit M here. how bout u leeev em alone and go play wit yo dolls,boy/son/kid

The more you attack me the more likely it is you will get blocked for hostility. I've tried being civil to you but clearly you can't return the favor. This discussion about the brain of Grey is between me and M. --Alpha Lycos 02:27, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

well mabe i wanna support M, k kid? or is yer IQ too low to understsnd? how bout u admit dat M is right and pik up yo butthurt feelings and leav, sonny boy.

I'm only discussing with M not some uncivil person who thinks it fun to insult others over the internet without knowing anything about them. Maybe if you learn how to be civil to others then we can have a proper discussion. --Alpha Lycos 02:40, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

o, i no much about u. u had a bad childhood, no frends, beat up everyday, terrible in skool. u finally finish skool and no college accepts u. to cope with this u drank ur money away. now ur a homeless butthurt bum who only can get on the intrnt by usin the library computer. hows that 4 not no in a thin bout u, u uncivil beast manchild.

Completely wrong as I have finished college and I don't drink. Now I would appreciate it if you would stay off my talk page and keep your uncivil words to yourself as they show how immature you really are. --Alpha Lycos 02:52, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

and wat did u do with that education? nothing. ur the exact thing civil humanity despises. u should also stop being a hipacrit, u tell me to b civil wen u rnt urself. so go play with ur barbies, boy/son/kid

I have been very civil to you. And its none of your business what I do with my life. I'm sorry that you cannot be a civil person and act like a mature person. I am going to report you to the admin now. Good bye and maybe when you mature we can discuss things as civil beings. --Alpha Lycos 03:11, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

aha, so u did do nutyin wit dat education, you uncivil hippocrit. how bout we look at dat conversation u had with that a balverine person, very uncivil. so, from wat i can gather, u r a homeless, uncivil, angered, bad childhooded man child/hippocrit. ta ta, and hav a terrible life, loser

Response Edit

So, yeah... right. Sorry for not being more timely in responding, but it was a pretty busy weekend and I must have missed your message. So, no worries about also asking Endoc to help. If you don't want his crap on your talk page, I'd recommend either archiving (so his crap is documented in the future), or removing and keeping a link somewhere to the specific revision that has all his crap. --JonTheMon 15:02, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for even taking the time to check into this =) I would have waited for you to deal with it but he attacked me again when I was talking with another user about a completely different topic, that of the Grey brain in Fable III not being Elvira's. Again thank you for looking into this, I know how it can be being busy. --Alpha Lycos 15:10, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

Hero of Bowerstones Gender Edit

Oops, sorry. I have multiple saves, half of which are female, so I just assumed. Wish I'd known that earlier. Sorry for the trouble. XHobbes 00:28, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

Its cool, your last one saved must have been a male. It does suck that its not as linkable as they had promised, the only thing it links with is the gender of the parent. I wish it was as they promised by taking your choices into factor. --Alpha Lycos 00:31, December 14, 2010 (UTC)
hey, i noticed this and have some insight. i have made several games (2 or 3) on Fable III and the first one spoke of my mother, the former queen and two others (if not more) have mentioned a father. i have not returned to playing Fable II since then and so i do not believe that the reason for the gender of the parent that was the hero from Fable II actually has anything to do with it... i think it's possible it's simply random... or a weird glitch. P.S. not sure how to do the signing thing yet so.. sorry bout it if it's wrong Rosenrot87 18:20, April 2, 2011 (UTC)Rosenrot87Rosenrot87 18:20, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
If you have 1 save for Fable II it will only link with the 1st save for Fable III. Each individual save links to an individual save for Fable II. I tried and tested this multiple times using both genders. As for the signing just put four tildes(~) and it auto signs. Or click the signature button if you use the monobook style.--Alpha Lycos 03:28, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
i have multiple saves on fable II and of both genders... though mostly females. and my first game the old hero was the mom and now the one i'm playing it was the father. and i never played fable II since i bought the limited edition. (on a side note how do i go about getting those achievements on my page?)Rosenrot87 12:57, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
The saves are also based on dates saved, using most recent first. Try testing using a USB stick, its how I worked it out lol. As for the achievements, are you meaning like how I have the userboxes on my user page? You just need to know the template, I recommend speaking to an admin or asking around to get help, I'm not really good with templates unless I use them alot like the unsigned ones--Alpha Lycos 15:17, April 3, 2011 (UTC)
Alright, thanks. and i don't have a USB stick lol oh also question about the post i made in the forums and your response. i made a report to Lionhead Studios on their website only... it seems a load of others are having this problem and have had this problem for ages now... nobody has remedied it. any clue as to how long it generally takes them to respond to a glitch/bug report? Sometimes it takes them months to get through all the bugs reported, only thing to do is patiently wait. It is annoying having to wait, though I'm one of the lucky ones whose only encountered the bug with the golden trail which isnt game breaking lol--Alpha Lycos 06:06, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
sorry to bug you so much but how do i start a new topic or whatever it's called on a talk page? i can't seem to figure that bit out... also there is something on The Void's page that i think should be made into a link.. not positive but it says see "Circular Logic" in the notes which to me seems it should lead somewhere though i could be wrong. i would change it but i don't know how to make links into words i'm not that computer savvy yet lol Rosenrot87 17:00, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
At the top of the talk page there will be either the words "Leave a message" or a + symbol. Click that and it lets you start a new topic. Or you could always click the edit button to edit the entire page and go to the very bottom and put a few spaces between your topic heading and the last line for the old topic and put four = symbols, two on each side, around the title of your topic. This last option is also good for main article sections. As for linking its easy, just put two "[" at the start then type the page name like Walter Beck then follow it with another two "]" and it should add a link if the page exists. As for the Void page, I will take a look and see :)--Alpha Lycos 17:10, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Categories Edit

We need to decide how we should make use of categories so that we have a standard to add to the Manual of Style. Please see here and leave your thoughts. Thanks, Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 11:50, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

The Brain Edit

In order to stop people from continually adding the same wrong information about the Lady Grey brain, perhaps we should add to the Trivia on that page in a different form, for example:

During the quest The Pen is Mightier..., the Hero enters a cellar in Bowerstone Old Quarter that contains memorabilia from previous Fable games. One of these items is a brain labelled as Lady Jane Grey. It has been suggested however that the brain is actually from the zombie Elvira Grey in Fable II, and that either the collector of the memorabilia, or even Lionhead themselves, had forgotten her actual first name.

Something shorter or more useful may be better, but I think maybe we need something there, just to stop the directly incorrect info from being added instead. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 11:28, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

I agree with this though I personally think its either Lionhead or the collector forgot the name or its a child of hers from one of her marriages. But will that work? I've seen some people put the same trivia or info on pages even when it was on there in different wording, such as the speaking role for Hero of Brightwall. --Alpha Lycos 11:51, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
We can but try. I'll do it and see what happens. If you want to reword it when it's there to something better, go ahead. Of course, someone else could just as easily come and remove it again...   :P

Maori Edit

That's why I changed it to decorative stones (which greenstone is). Mictlantecuhtli 08:45, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yes it is but your talking about tribes that adorned the tops with such stones. The Maori did not adorn anything with it but made complete full weapons out of it. They also used the bones of their enemies and wood and seashells. I know all this as its taught in the schools where I live. They didn't just put pieces of stones in their weapons like the Aztec or the Hammerthyst so it shouldn't be put in the page. --Alpha Lycos 09:20, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

You're a vandal! Edit

Hello, Alpha. According to this guy, you're vandal and he's undoing all of your posts on talk pages. I honestly don't know what has convinced him of this, but I just wanted to let you know. -XHobbes 02:57, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

Its because I removed a personal opinion of his from the trollblight page. Also removed already stated information. I'll talk to an admin about getting him blocked for vandalism. Thanks for the notice.--Alpha Lycos 05:45, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

Sry Edit

I'd like to apoligize, this is a shared computer. I realize that you recieved a comment on your page that was not friendly in any manner. I will be seeing to it that it does not happen again, thank you.

Moving Pages Edit

All you have to do is press the arrow pointing down next to the Edit part and "Move" should appear under the "Edit" button and put in the new name, press "Move", and there you go. Pule's Signature 23:44, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Yea I knew that page lol but I couldn't figure out how to move it to a forum via naming. Do I just put "Forum:(pagename)" or something else?--Alpha Lycos 23:49, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Yep, just do that and you'll have it moved. Pule's Signature 23:52, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Cool thanks for that.--Alpha Lycos 23:53, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Weapon pages Edit

Hey Alpha. Noticed that the edits the a contributor did to the weapons pages were undone. Although they were inaccurate about being unable to get them from chests, the part about them being available in stores is correct, depending on the play-through of course. I do think it would be helpful to have mention on weapons pages of which ones are attainable through stores and which aren't though. -- Shoggoth1890 17:28, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

Technically all random ones are available in stores so roughly about 45 maybe 40 of them can appear in stores. I've tried and tested this through 6 different playthroughs on the same gamertag so its not worth noting.--Alpha Lycos 01:45, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

There are examples of random ones not available in stores, like the dragonstomper and sandgoose to name a couple. I could easily see someone coming to the weapons pages to see which ones are attainable which ways, to save time spent restarting games trying to get the store to spawn something it can't spawn. -- Shoggoth1890 05:04, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

In my last playthrough I got the Dragonstomper from a store. All locations that have weapons are listed on the page about the achievement.--Alpha Lycos 05:07, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Is it possible it was in a store as a result of Understone? I know the DLC did add previously non-store items to stores. -- Shoggoth1890 08:41, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

It was in the shops before I got the DLC--Alpha Lycos 08:43, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Edit SummariesEdit

Hello, I was reviewing some of the edits from earlier on and noticed that in one of your summaries you wrote "Undoing vandalism by pathetic person who thinks its fun to vandalize pages". I understand that you might be frustrated with the user, but that does not give you the right to disrespect them. Remember that all users should be treated with the same amount of respect, regardless of whether or not they have vandalized before. This is nothing bad, I just thought I would let you know. Thank you for your time. Pule's Signature 03:09, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Yea I understand it might seem I'm disrespecting that exact person, but that was aimed at all people who vandalize the hardwork we put into these pages. Plus that particular user had vandalized about 20 NPC pages by changing the names and such. And had done an extra lot with user pages.--Alpha Lycos 05:42, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Chesty at Clockwork Island Edit

Howdy. I saw that you took out the bit of trivia on Chesty's page about her visiting Clockwork Island. I didn't add it, but it's implied in the Island's visitor log that Chesty was there. I know this wiki has a strict definition of speculation, but it's hinted at heavily, what with the comment about wanting souls and being super best friends and being signed "C. Chesterton" and whatnot. Does it still count as speculation? Thanks. TheIndifferentist 06:00, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

When I removed it the only reference to the signed log thing was "This place is fun but would be more fun with one of my games" and to me that seemed just like some random person would have thought of a game that can be played with robots. But if it has actual wording of wanting souls and being super best friends then it seems probable.--Alpha Lycos 06:03, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
I see. I just wanted to get your opinion on it, and see if you meant that the visitor's log hint as a whole was speculation since it isn't explicitly signed "Chesty" (hints or no hints). Thanks for clearing that up for me. TheIndifferentist 06:42, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for all your help Edit

I just wanted to say thank you for all of your help recently. You helped me clear up some confusion I had and taught me a few things. Thanks to you I now know how to start a new topic (though i seem to still encounter a few issues with it but eh i am still learning) and how to make a link into a word. I am sure you will help me in the future as well so though I will end up thanking you after you do so I shall also now thank you in advance. Rosenrot87 20:55, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Occasionally editing can fail even when logged in. I'll check the block logs though and let you know, just keep trying to use your account in the mean time, it might just be a small glitch with the system--Alpha Lycos 03:57, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

Understone and the Spire Edit

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that Understone's connection to the Spire is stated here, if you're curious where that info on the Tattered Spire page originated. -- TheIndifferentist 02:30, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

It says he built it in fear of the spire but nothing about it being because of the threat of the spire. He could have feared it to be a new means of controlling the economy, or some other reason. It says nothing about him building it because of the threat from Lucien's wish or any wish for that matter, but in fear of the spire itself. The info that was added to the page spoke of understone being built because of the threat of Lucien's wish, hence why I removed it. To me, Humes merely feared the Spire itself not the threat of what it truly would bring. And from the defence system, I believe that possibly Humes believed the Spire would create mutants, which to me could be what he believed the Spire guards and Commanders are. But yea, I removed it because it stated the specific reason was the threat instead of the spire itself.--Alpha Lycos 03:27, April 27, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, my mistake. Please understand, I wasn't accusing you of being wrong for removing it or anything. I didn't realize you were specifically referring to Montague Humes being afraid of Lucien's wish and its effects, instead of the Spire itself. To my knowledge, that link I provided is the only place where the Understone-Spire connection is mentioned (I never heard anything in the game, and it's not mentioned in the quest pack's description on Live), so I thought it was easily missed. Again, I meant no offense. Sorry. -- TheIndifferentist 04:13, April 27, 2011 (UTC)
Its fine, I took no offence merely was detailing my thoughts on the matter. Its hard on the internet to not word an opinion or theory in the way I did without sounding upset or something. Sorry if it seemed that way, I was just trying to show how I saw things. But you are right, the only place that links the spire with understone is that link you posted.--Alpha Lycos 04:19, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Seriously? Edit

Are you really crying about "the heart of Albion" The anon is right so stop reversing his edits.

HoboHunter28 14:57, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

Show me EXACT proof that the anon is correct in saying that a place on the oceanic border of the mainland is in the heart of the region known as Albion. Prove it or it doesn't get on the page as its purely speculation that the lake near the oceanic border of the mainland is the heart of the land.--Alpha Lycos 15:00, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
Do you expect me to go ask Peter Molyneux? I can't give you proof. And if my brain serves my correctly, what I'm saying isn't "speculation".—Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~
Unless you can give proof that its in the heart of Albion then its speculation as your just basing it off your own perception of the region. To me, based on the Fable III map, Silverpines is more in the heart of Albion. To others it could be Brightwood. Its unknown until proven.--Alpha Lycos 03:33, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Regarding Category:Fable TLC Edit

The Category:Fable TLC is currently up for deletion, pending further comments on its talk page, which is probably why the IP is removing it from some pages. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 14:19, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

Ah I see. Though to me until the category is fully deleted it should still be usable as its there and relevant, hence why I kept putting it back.--Alpha Lycos 14:26, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

Well that's confusing... I'm, was just justifying my actions... already getting talked about =P

The guy who keeps removing the Fable TLC catagories.

If you go to the Fable TLC catagory it self is marked for deletion. Correct me if I'm wrong but to delete that without marking all the pages that only feature Fable TLC is either going to recreate the Fable TLC catagory or Ophan the articles.

I was trying to mark and move all the Fable TLC to Fable. Starting with trophes. Also I know that Fable and Fable TLC are two seperate entities however both are so tightly entwined (and have been for years) that it's annoying to try to look for something that's in "Fable" only to have to search twice, once for Fable, once for Fable TLC.

Let me know here if a decision is made on the matter and I'll either give up or work away. 14:28, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

Thats why I posted in the talk about using the category for things involving exclusive TLC items. There are trophies exclusive to TLC so it seems only fitting to have the category on there to signify that since there is a category for each game.--Alpha Lycos 14:32, May 10, 2011 (UTC) again... but the TLC catagory is up for deletion. Is it going to be deleted. To be fair I understand the the items are TLC only but most people these days know Fable and Fable TLC simply as Fable. I'm not going to be removing the TLC only notes, so anyone looking for Fable Trophies are going to come up with the list of Fable Trophies AND then the Fable TLC Trophies. After working through that I;d be willing to try and join the Fable and the Fable TLC pages where appropraite (Expressions for example, seems a bit daft to have 4 on their own page for the TLC. Better to join them into one article and then mark them as TLC only. (Similar to that of the trophies)—Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Its being debated as to whether it will be deleted or not. Until the decision its still a full fledged category to be used as normal.--Alpha Lycos 14:42, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

86.12.blah.blah. To say it's being debated it's much... there is more talk here about me removing one catagory tag than there is about removal of that page. And you've not really come up with any reasons for keeping the page, other than it's two entities, which while might be the most accurate point not really common perception of Fable and TLC.

Mustache vs Mouchache Edit

Thanks for covering my mistake and correcting Mustache to Moustache.

Kyrone 11:42, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

No problem. I'd recommend using a British spell check dictionary for edits on this wikia, its what I use lol--Alpha Lycos 11:44, May 13, 2011 (UTC)
To be fair I was just going off the spelling already there... Should of looked it up really, or known being British myself >_<

50 Key/Sanctuary Chest Weapons Edit

Hey. In your Fable III playthroughs, do you always get the same two weapons from the 50 Silver Key chest and the Sanctuary chest? I do. I get the Dragonstomper .48 from the silver key chest and the Swinging Sword from the Sanctuary chest. Every time. It's been the same for me in all six playthroughs. You? -- TheIndifferentist 08:09, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

My first 6 playthroughs I got 6 different weapons from the Sanctuary chest. But after I got the achievement I stopped worrying about the chests lol Even more so when I lost the ability to get on Live. I can't remember every weapon I obtained but I know I got the following from the Sanctuary chest: Avo's Lamentation, Scythe's Warhammer, Sandgoose, and The Equalizer. Other then those I can't remember what the last two were exactly but I know one was another rifle and the other was a pistol. As for the silver chest my last time of opening it is all I remember and I got Beadle's cutlass.--Alpha Lycos 04:42, May 27, 2011 (UTC)
Okay. I was just curious if my particular situation was unique. Thanks. -- TheIndifferentist 09:24, May 27, 2011 (UTC)
Just a thought: I read somewhere that all the weapons are established when you begin a new game.Did you begin all 6 on the same day or in the same hour? There may be a reason why you would get such unrandom results. I have found only 4 different weapons in the 50 key chest and the one in the Sanctuary Treasury.Garry Damrau 10:25, December 6, 2011 (UTC) This may be a moot point as TheIndifferentist does not seem to be active, but no matter.

Italics Edit

Hey, so what's the deal with the italics on those pages, when most other articles aren't? Thanks for the help! SSJ4 Lewich  talk  contribs  23:44, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

For items the description/contents of the item are put in italics. I think it is to replicate the style the games show. So if you see a legendary weapon with its description not in italics best thing to do would be put it in. The different types of articles have different style setups. I'm not 100% knowledgeable about this, best bet would be to ask Enodoc as he had been here longer then me.--Alpha Lycos 23:48, August 18, 2011 (UTC)
Ah right I see, it's the actual description from the game, I got confused as I thought it was a description written by a user. Thanks for clearing that up!  SSJ4 Lewich  talk  contribs  23:50, August 18, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, just another quick one, for page's like this should the "game description" have the heading "Description"?  SSJ4 Lewich  talk  contribs  23:54, August 18, 2011 (UTC)
Umm I'm not too sure, you would have to ask enodoc about that one. But I think it might be safe to say yes but again, just double check with Enodoc.--Alpha Lycos 23:58, August 18, 2011 (UTC)
To answer both questions; anything that is a direct quote/transcript from the games should be in italics. Yes, game descriptions should have "Description" as a heading, but they should not be the first thing you see on a page like they are for Enflame and some other articles. Most of the articles that don't fit proper formatting styles, like that one, are the ones about stuff from Fable I, as they were created before we had standardised ideas about formatting. For more formatting tips, including capitalization and lead section guidelines, see the Manual of Style. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 21:55, August 19, 2011 (UTC)

Legendary Weapons Locations Edit

I am trying to catalogue where different legendary weapons have been found in Fable III, to see if there is any consistency or logic to them at all, or whether they are completely random. Please see here, and, if you can, try to fill in some more of the table. Thanks, Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 22:12, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah I saw that one, but can't remember much of them lately due to new medication. Also I tend to have trouble with those kinds of tables, any advice would be great.--Alpha Lycos 23:33, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
Well it doesn't matter if you can't remember much, anything can help. The best way I found to edit the table is to temporarily turn on the Rich Text Editor in the Editing tab of Special:Preferences. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 10:12, August 22, 2011 (UTC)

Follow-Up Edit

I would like your opinion on the next steps as a result of the conclusions of this investigation. Other than a few inconsistencies, there does appear to be a grouping to the legendary weapons and I think we should "officially" state such on the relevant articles (Weapons (Fable III) and Fable III Legendary Weapon Locations), but also mention that occasionally it doesn't always work. Please see User talk:Enodoc/Fable III Legendary Weapons#Next Steps. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 16:14, February 8, 2012 (UTC)

Of course I'm happy to help once I get my new comp, currently limited access to internet.--Alpha Lycos 10:49, February 9, 2012 (UTC)

Image Formatting Edit

Hi! I was just wondering, how did you reformat those images I added to the Sanctuary page? It looks a lot better and I'd like to know how to do that in future. :)

Just don't put the thumb part. Instead do something like imagelink|280px|right|caption but close it off with the and to make it whole. Its a new style we are bringing in, to see the caption just hover the mouse over the image for a moment.--Alpha Lycos 09:38, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
Ahh, okay! Thanks for that. :)

Ohh, my bad. :). I didn't know that. Looks like I will have to research British spelling. But thanks for the heads up. :D--DarthCookie Talk 06:00, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

An easy method is to get a British spell check for your browser. Or a New Zealand one, since we use the same spelling as Britain. But yea if you use Mozilla you can get different dictionaries for the spell check.--Alpha Lycos 06:02, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Help fixing cramped pages. Edit

Greetings. It's been a little while since you left me that message, so I decided to reply here. I would've helped, but you seem to have those pages all sewn up now. Should you need help in the future, it shouldn't take me so long to reply. Sorry. TheIndifferentist 00:48, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Its perfectly fine! And those pages still need cleaning up, so still in need of work. The main Silver Key page needs to be redone to be like the Demon Doors or Legendary Weapons pages. Also, not sure if you can, but we need a picture of a Fable II silver key. Thanks for the reply! Its understandable about not being able to post much, I get the same thing at times.--Alpha Lycos 01:49, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Rollback Status Update Edit

Wiki Rollback
Since you were granted your Rollback status before Chat existed, I have updated your rights to include chatmod, a secondary tool for Fable Wiki Rollbacks that allows you to kickban users from Chat. I thought it was an appropriate addition to the vandalism-based rollback tools. Chatmod rights can be removed or restored on request to a sysop or bureaucrat. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 23:56, November 15, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, though I personally don't use the chat. But now if I ever do I'll be able to help keep it vandal/troll/harassment free--Alpha Lycos 05:45, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Not to beat a dead horse but it is possible to earn the achievement on multiple game sessions. I will check myself if it can be done without playing a set without errors. What I find interesting is when playing a different save on the same profile that first earned it, the achievement progress box will pop up for the 1 of 4, 2 of 4, and 3 of 4 turns but when you do the fourth you get no indication of completeness. This is also true of the Archmage achievement where you can see 1 of 15 to 14 of 15 but nothing when you perform the 15th spellweave combination. Garry Damrau 08:54, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

I'm just guessing now but I sense that you must be a guitar player or musician of some kind. In the same way that I take an interest in the dog mechanics you seem to care greatly that the Lute Hero page is kept accurate. Do I have Theresas' gift for seeing into other worlds or am I just NUTZ. Garry Damrau 07:45, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

I aim to keep all pages accurate, not just Lute Hero.--Alpha Lycos 07:47, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

Couch Co-op Edit

Hello Alpha Lycos may I call you AL in the future? You can call me GD if you want. I noticed you refer to "couch co-op" and I wondered if you knew that when playing that way in Fable III, that when the host uses foods that make him fatter (or thinner I presume) during battle, the guest shares his weight gain equally. Playing couch co-op really opens up so many possibilities when replaying a second or third time that I'm surprised more people don't have questions about it. If more people join this community with the coming of Fable:The Journey we will need you here to help us. Thanks for being here. Garry Damrau(talk) 12:35, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

You may find this of interest. When I finally got a Jack's Hammer from an on-line gamer, it had the blue and green objectives already compleated. I don't believe the giver of the weapon had done both of the objectives but was not about to ask questions. Then when this same save got his own from the Demon Door in Aurora I gave it to one of my off-line saves that had 49 of 50. When she gave it back to my on-line save it again gained the blue and green upgrades. So all he has to do is kill shadows. Ha Ha Ha BTW One is already done & no hurry to do the other as that one is for swapping to my other profiles.Garry Damrau(talk) 10:07, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

It must be my user log-in then. I had a bit of a problem with some other users a few weeks back. Maybe they found a way to mess up my user account. I will see what I can do. Thanks for responding AL. May I call you AL?Garry Damrau(talk)

Attn Alpha Lycos from what I think I'm reading Sandgooselover28 removed a whole bunch of Bladesofsdoom posting on the Forum:Fable 4 page and added a little of his. Something isn't right with what I think I'm seeing. Can you look?--Garry Damrau(talk) 11:39, January 9, 2012 (UTC)

What actually happened is Sandgooselover put in his post above Bladesofsdoom's one, and that got the diff confused. I've moved it to the end where it needs to be. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 13:03, January 9, 2012 (UTC)

The reason I am asking you this here is that I know you have an intimate knowledge of couch co-op and few people on this planet could answer it with any sense of reason. I recently created two new profiles to test the "Dye Hippie Dye" achievement requirement. I tried to keep both new saves as similar as I could. The only major difference is that the male hero choose to let Elise die and the female hero saved Elliot. Now after visiting the Road to Rule with a more advanced save, my female can buy and repair the House of Cluck, Fluff Cottage and the Misgnomer House from the Sanctuary. The male hero gets the "This property is not for sale at this time" message. Any ideas why? --Garry Damrau(talk) 08:55, January 10, 2012 (UTC)

Fable 4Edit

I do believe i did state i had not finished writing it yet, how it ties in is revealed later. I am not a fan boy- but i am not stupid... don't make assumptions before you fully read the article.Bladesofsdoom 15:01, January 10, 2012 (UTC)

I never made assumptions of that calibar, I merely took how you were setting up the storyline and questioned the flaws in it. I know you said that you hadn't finished, but just by what you did write you weren't following any of the guidelines to make an actual Fable mainstream game. Also you mention reviving Skorm, yet going by Lionhead canon Skorm never truly existed as the Oracle states this info.--Alpha Lycos 10:43, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Again, i know that. There weren't any "flaws" it's just building up the penultimate bit. Storm and avo didn't exist so they are going to ressurect "something". Bladesofsdoom 14:08, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Gnome History Edit

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that the info added to the Gnomes article came from Fable: Blood Ties. I'm going to restore it, and add a canonicity disclaimer...for now. Once the Gnome (Blood Ties) article gets closer to completion, I might move it there to keep it separate from Fable III info. TheIndifferentist 20:17, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

Ah okay, I haven't read Blood Ties yet, and it seemed like fanon when I removed it.--Alpha Lycos 02:45, March 20, 2012 (UTC)

Affiliation Request Edit

We have been contacted by Cheevo Archive about a possible affiliation between our wikis. Please see here and leave your thoughts. Also, would you be interested in having affiliations with other wikis in the future? It seems to be an ever-increasing practice across Wikia. Thanks, Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 16:18, April 17, 2012 (UTC)

Just wanted to say thanks Edit

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for putting the Fable Heroes info back into the Hero of Bowerstone article. I considered doing it myself but also wanted some outside confirmation that I was correct in my assumption that it was the Hero of Bowerstone and not the Hero of Brightwall. Anyway, thanks again. :) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 18:41, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

No problem! I believe it is the Hero of Bowerstone due to the setting of most of things being based around Fable II with next to no input from III. I think maybe to stop it being removed in future we should put a note or something on Brightwall's page about the male model being used by Fable Heroes for the Hero of Bowerstone.--Alpha Lycos 18:44, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
I think that's a good idea. Maybe a note in both articles. Or would that be a bit redundant? -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 19:06, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
Hmm I'm not too sure lol. It might be a good idea to put it in both articles, just so people don't look only at Hero of Bowerstone's page and be all "But it doesn't look like them"--Alpha Lycos 19:08, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, that's why I had the thought. Hehe. -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 19:23, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

Hehe, thanks for catching my error on A Lost Romance. Nice to know you're there to clean up after my overzealous editing. ;) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 04:52, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

Oh and thanks for the nomination. Can't believe I hadn't mentioned that yet. :) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 04:54, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

Its cool, we all make mistakes from time to time. As for the nomination, I figured you were over due for one thanks to all the hard work you have put into the articles. We all make a good balanced team, working to keep this wiki in good order. I think I'll be taking some time to do a random page scan soon, just to check a lot of pages are up to date. Its a shame I don't have knowledge of TLC exclusive info.--Alpha Lycos 04:58, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, Alpha!! Edit

I appreciate what you did on my confusing fate/ faith. Should better check my stuff before I post...

Or I'll soon have a talk page full of angry guys complaining and/or insulting me about a little misspelling or mix-up... (Saw your Usertalk... Seems that's what happens when you're being friendly, showing common sense and smarts and are not "zpellingz dee shiz raight liek modrrn pieple dew"... ;-)

Anyhoo, I'm always happy when someone rights my wrongs... Thanks, peace and love! BBS Mr Wicked 03:08, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for all you have done Edit

that, basically. You work on the wiki is excellent and your ideas for new projects and tidying up of pages are greatly appreciated. I have nominated you for adminship. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 22:18, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks! I saw the nominations a little while ago, and got to say I really feel the love from it. If I do become an admin, I'll need a little training course in how to use the powers it grants, of course I'd use it in moderation when needed. Oh, and I had a thought for the Fable Heroes side of things, if you agree I could get a couple of people to help with it. The idea is to create a separate page for each Hero Doll used in the game, mostly this works for the 'Hero' Hero Doll as it uses the Brightwall model but represents Bowerstone. Also, since Heroes seems to not be an actual chronological game in the series, it could be good having the articles for them.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 22:27, July 2, 2012 (UTC)
Once again, sounds like a good plan.       :)       Once I've finished my own little project on adding to the Fable III Locations articles, I also want to get on with the Fable Heroes locations, so help with that would be good as well.
Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 22:37, July 2, 2012 (UTC)
Coolies, I'll get started on it. I'll get Beekie and Gary to help with it.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 22:41, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

Fable Heroes Puppets Edit

I didn't realize this until I started making the Scythe (Fable Heroes) page, but Lionhead only made little bios for half of the Hero Puppets in FH. What should we do for a description for the characters that weren't covered by Lionhead?

Oh and thanks for your work on Jack's page and sorry I didn't do more on it yesterday. My daughter had a rough night so editing was kind of out. -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 23:13, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

Hmm perhaps we should have two descriptions for the characters? One from them as a trophy in-game, and one from Lionhead if there is one available? Also, I was going to update the links on the actual FH article, but needed to know for a few characters what we would be naming the articles. Mainly its just Hero, Walter, Ben and Lucien that are the trouble makers, since Walter can also be known as Sir Walter Beck or Walter Beck or Sir Walter, then there is Ben who can be known as Ben or Ben Finn etc. I was thinking for Hero, maybe naming his page "Hero Puppet (Fable Heroes)" if that sounds good?

Its cool about that, we work as a team ^^ And besides, family comes first.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 23:20, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. Is there a description in the trophies? I haven't noticed one before. I think we should stick as closely to the in-game names as possible. Sir Walter, Lucien, Ben Finn. Hero is definitely the trickiest because that is his in-game name. I like Hero Puppet but I worry that it could be confusing since that could very well be referring to all of the puppets in the game. I did see something on the LIVE marketplace referring to him as Hero King. I think it was this. What would you think of "Hero King" or "Hero King (Fable Heroes)" if necessary to prevent further confusion? -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 13:33, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
Hmm "Hero King (Fable Heroes)" sounds like a good idea, to keep things streamlined and such. Sorry I haven't been much help lately, had a bunch of real life issues to sort through and won't be completely free until the weekend.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 22:13, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
No worries, thanks I'll try to work on those some more tonight. I understand the personal issues thing, going through it myself. Hope everything is well and I'll work with you more this weekend. :) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 22:51, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Fireball Spell Gauntlet Edit

So the edit made by an anonymous user to the Fireball Spell Gauntlet page was me. I didn't realize I had been logged out when I hit publish. I want to explain my reasons for the change and get your opinion on it.

I thought that italicising the figures that were rounded would make it a bit more clear and less of a hunt for the reader.

I changed the citation for two reasons:

 1. I think it looks more professional/credible that way. Maybe it's because I'm a history major, I don't know.
 2. If BradyGames removes the product from their website the information required to find the book is still in the article.

Anyway, let me know what you think. Your feedback is always appreciated. Oh and if you have any further suggestions or ideas for the Fable III Spell Gauntlet pages, please let me know. -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 17:48, July 14, 2012 (UTC)

Ah okay, had I known it was you working on it I'd not have done it. But seeing an unregistered contributor who does something like that, and how the table seemed to work with the hovering, it made me think they were failing an attempt at vandalism. Sorry :) I just didn't want your hard work ruined--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 17:51, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
No worries. I figured that was the case. I wanted to talk to you about it in case there were issues you had with it, since I value your opinion and all that. Thank you for looking out for my hard work. :) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 17:54, July 14, 2012 (UTC)

Sysop Edit

Congratulations! The nomination period is over and I am happy to announce your promotion to Sysop. Let me know if/when you have any questions. :) --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 17:26, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

Allow me to mirror the above congratulations. Alpha Lycos, you are always welcome to visit me at Serenity Farm or the Hunter's Lodge. We may even tip a few brews at the Sandgoose or Riviter's Rest.Garry Damrau(talk) 21:17, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

Congratulations Alpha! I think this promotion has been a long time coming. :) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 01:19, July 17, 2012 (UTC)

Hey! Congrats on becoming an Admin! I hope that you enjoy the extra rights and use them for the benefit for the Wiki. Finally, Enodoc has received some of the help up top that has been long been left in the dark. Well done again and I'll see you around. WikiaWizard (talk) 10:30, July 17, 2012 (UTC)

Congrats, I hope you like being a admin TehHeroOfBowerstone (talk) 09:48, July 17, 2012 (UTC)

A couple things Edit

Okay so I was going to talk to Enodoc about this but then I remembered you're an admin now and can probably take care of it.

 1. I made a mistake back in my noob days when I took upon myself the task of cleaning up the Fable III Clothing page. I made the Women's Masquerade Suit page and I guess I didn't do or a search or hadn't learned how to rename pages quite yet because there was already the Women's Masquerade Dress page. I don't know if they need to be merged or whatnot, I just know it's beyond my capabilities. My apologies for causing this issue in the first place.
 2. A new user has created a couple new pages that seem like they should be in the forums or his blog but I'm fairly certain they're not. I don't know if they can be moved or not which is why I didn't nominate them for deletion, so I thought I'd ask you.

Thanks for your time. -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 21:11, July 29, 2012 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for coming to me ^^ I'm still learning about the admin side of things, and haven't been around much with real life getting in the way. It seems Enodoc got to the pages by that user, they have been deleted already. As for the masquerade items, I think a deletion might be needed. Or a redirect. :) --Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 21:58, July 29, 2012 (UTC)
Heh, I just realized that I never responded to you here. My bad. Well, thanks for taking care of that issue. I hope the admin thing is going well. What do you think of the revisions to the clothing pages? I haven't done all of them yet but the Women's Masquerade Suit is revised based on your suggestions and I would (as always) appreciate any feedback. :) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 22:00, August 9, 2012 (UTC)
From all I have seen its a good job :) But then you always have been a good worker here, though now saying it like that makes it sounds like a business lol. Anyway, its all looking rather good :) As for the admin thing, well its been good so far. Haven't really used my new powers but then that doesn't bother me, I'm just here to help keep vandals away and to increase the knowledge of Fable based stuff.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 22:43, August 9, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, I'm working on progressing my save file on a much better computer so I can get new screenshots of the clothes and maybe add a gallery to the main page. Yeah when you put it that way, it kind of does haha. That would be awesome though, getting paid to edit the wiki. Well if I ever see a need for your new powers, I'll be sure to let you know. ;) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 23:47, August 9, 2012 (UTC)

Wings and Morality Edit

moved to Talk:Do the Ends Justify the Means?

Aurora and The Other Land Edit

I had a feeling you were going to take that out of the article. I debated doing it myself but I guess I'm still a little unsure except in cases of glaringly obvious vandalism or speculation. The point you made in your edit summary sparked a funny speculative thought... What if the book was about Aurora and Shadelight was their impenetrable beach defence? Oh the irony. -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 22:16, August 14, 2012 (UTC)

Yea I thought of Shadelight being the beach defence, but if it was impenetrable the Hero and Walter wouldn't have gotten to meet Kalin lol. Also, something I couldn't fit into the summary, was its a speculation post. It started off with "Its possible" and from past experiences any post on articles that starts with "Its possible" or likewise statements, is treated as speculation. :) I'm not sure if the policy on speculation has changed though.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 22:20, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
Very true. That's probably a good rule to adopt with speculation, I'll keep it in mind. I double checked speculation policy and it doesn't seem to have changed so I'm sure you're right. Apparently we're also supposed to warn people who add speculation. I'll check to see if there's a template for that.
Oh, quick question on an unrelated subject: an anonymous editor keeps adding stuff to the Lady Sophia article about a mod that makes it possible to marry her. I've removed it twice now and considered moving it to the article's talk page but I haven't really seen much talk on the wiki about mods and wasn't sure whether or not we allow discussion of that sort of thing here. Any thoughts? -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 22:31, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
Yea I've seen that mod stuff, I don't know if its allowed, but I'm pretty sure its not. Maybe as a forum or blog, but not on the articles since its not really part of the canon of that character. I'll look into things though, and see what I can find. Though that just means ask Enodoc lol--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 22:35, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
That's what I thought. I also haven't really found any kind of warning template for speculation. Maybe we could just use the vandalism one? I dunno. I'm sure you won't need to double check with Enodoc on the questions I throw at you much longer. Before too long you'll be like Enodoc 2.0. Hehe, I only jest. ;) -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 22:47, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
Haha yea, hopefully I'll be that good. But until that day comes, I'm still learning on most things. Though I am getting the hang of the role of admin :)--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 22:53, August 14, 2012 (UTC)
Hello     :)
You are correct in that there is not a template for a speculation warning message. What I tend to do is remove speculation the first time with a link to the Speculation Policy in the edit summary, and if the same user adds speculation a second time, I then leave them a message on their talk page. I could create a speculation message template though if you'd like one to use.
As for information about mods, Lycos is right in saying that it shouldn't be on articles because it is not part of canon. There's nothing to stop someone creating a blog or forum about it of their own accord, but they don't need to be invited to do so.
In short, what you're doing is fine, keep it up! Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 20:22, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the response Enodoc, I was planning to contact you about it later today after sorting out my new keyboard. I'm just curious though, since the policy mentions a special warning message, should one be created for it?--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 20:39, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
Well it says The user who adds speculation to an article will be warned. I suppose creating a standard message to use would be easier than coming up with something every time. I will do that then. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 20:47, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
Hi Enodoc. :) Thanks for addressing those questions and for offering to make a message template. I wish I'd taken more computer programming classes so all the template creation/changes didn't fall on your shoulders. I only learned basic HTML and JavaScript (hah, that's super useful) and never really picked up on CSS. If you know of any good tutorials for beginners just let me know, maybe someday I can help you out more with the templates and whatnot. -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 20:54, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
There's not really any CSS involved in templates, it's all wikitext and HTML. I've not done much in the way of computer programming either, I just picked it up by experimenting and by seeing how templates are changed when they are edited. Feel free to have a look at the codes for the templates by going into edit. There's no harm you can do if you change stuff, preview it, and then don't save it. Help:Templates has some general info and a couple of videos (although I've never watched them) if you want to have a look. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 21:16, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
Okay thanks. Not sure why I thought there was. I'll see what I can sort out and maybe try my hand at a few things. -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 21:25, August 15, 2012 (UTC)
The Speculation Message template is done. Let me know if it needs rewording. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 21:41, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

The speculation message looks great!--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 21:47, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

Grammar checking Edit

Hy, just wanna let you know that I've added some information on the Dog (Fable III) section.. Okay, thank you then.. :) Junjun sheep (talk) 07:30, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

Since the book has been marketed as: The official prequel novel to Fable the Journey, its pretty safe to say its canon. And the Hero actually appears in the book, not just mentioned.—Preceding unsigned comment added by JYN044 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Its exactly like Fable: Balverine Order. It was said to be an official novel based between Fable II and Fable III, yet the gender of the Hero of Bowerstone was not set as Male, it was left up to the players save. Unless Lionhead studios comes outright and states "Oh and the Hero is always Male" then its not official canon, its novel canon. Its why there is the template for novels, to let readers know its from the novels and isn't officially confirmed as canon for the games as well. Also, I did not state the Hero was only mentioned, the user who edited the page before me left it there, and so I left it as well.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 02:54, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

Good point. But he's definately imprisoned at the end. (Sorry if I spoiled it for you.)

Yeah, things don't go well for him. JYN044 (talk) 02:59, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

The status part is meant for if they are alive or dead, the imprisoned part would be put in the trivia section or in the novels section on the page.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 03:02, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

Edit War Edit

Admin powers activate? Just kidding. ;) So I guess it's time for another round of the Hero of Oakvale is not dead. I've undone the edit four times already and put up the blue lock thingy. I don't know if I got the count right. Anyway, they removed the blue lock and re-did the edit. I am stepping away and leaving this up to the admins now. -- geekie beekie(Talk) (User Space) 22:59, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

then why does it say he is enimies with the Shadow Court? 02:53, September 18, 2012 (UTC)

Honestly, because no one has noticed before hand. But as I said, just being the founder of an anti-Theresa society doesn't mean hes her enemy. That would be like saying "Well, the Hero of Bowerstone could be evil, they must have been enemies with the guards of Albion" or like saying "Well this person made a fan club for Theresa, they must be her lover/friend/sibling" and besides, its speculation that they are enemies. Being mistrustful of someone doesn't make an enemy. Also, Reaver has contempt for the Hero of Brightwall but that doesn't automatically make them enemies. Its possible that, with the coup that is said to happen in Edge of the World, Reaver does become an enemy but until its confirmed its just speculation. Anyway, the shadow court thing I had never seen and I'll see if the other admin/rollbacks/high contributing users might know why its like that.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 03:00, September 18, 2012 (UTC)

It's never been said that Hammer is dead, either, but her status is unknown.—Preceding unsigned comment added by JYN044 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~

For both it should go by the last confirmed status, as we do for all characters. Otherwise we could have all status' say "Unknown" or "Alive" or "Dead" for those we don't know for sure about.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 20:59, October 7, 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I'm a bit new to editing wikis but I like Fable a lot. What did I do wrong on the White Balverine (Quest) page because I couldn't get the link to work for Theresa's Letter. Void1610 (talk) 05:45, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

When it comes to links its best to have them how you tried only if the words behind the | is different to the link, for example this otherwise just do it as normal like Theresa's Letter other then that you seem to be doing a good job, also at the time I missed that the link failed by itself, but its fixed now :).--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 10:59, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

Monobook Edit

I've been playing with the Monobook style a bit again – apologies if I broke anything. I was using the code here to set up a Monobook skin for Fable Fanon so it's not just all black and white and looks a bit more like the skin in Oasis. If you ever want to have a go, just head to MediaWiki:Monobook.css. Remember that nothing can be permanently broken, as there is always an undo button. Have a good Christmas! --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 15:41, December 23, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up! It looks pretty good now, and nothing seems broken. I might try a few things with it after a the new years, but for now I'm recovering from some nasty sunburns. Merry Christmas to you too Enodoc! And a happy New Year.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 19:39, December 23, 2012 (UTC)

There seems to be some discrepancy regarding the deaths of Amelia and Helena Fairfax. You corrected the Travels in the East section on Theresa but the Fable: The Journey section and the article Amelia Fairfax still state that she killed them. I do not own FTJ so I must leave it to you to clarify the story.Garry Damrau(talk) 02:18, January 6, 2013 (UTC)

Ah I thought I had dealt with the Amelia page, guess it didn't save lol and I didn't realize there was mention of it further on Theresa's page. Thanks for the heads up!--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 02:20, January 6, 2013 (UTC)

Wikia Alliances Edit

Wikia have announced a new thing called "Wikia Alliances". This looks like one of their better community-grouping ideas, as it mentions updates about exclusive content (think beta codes, star interviews, giveaways, etc.), and creating new connections is not usually a bad thing. Please see here and leave your thoughts. Thanks, Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 18:30, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I'm grabbing the names from the files themselves. The official lionhead post is gone, and from forums and such the names seem a bit "unofficial".—Preceding unsigned comment added by Ossuarium (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Its okay. You were doing good with the more clearer photos, just thought I'd let you know that the names were gotten from an official post made by Lionhead to help players work out how to unlock each morph. Also about the sizes you were putting, its best not to have them too big or the page becomes overly stretched. Maybe a good size could be 220 but I think a 200 for current use is good.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 01:10, March 22, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not actually sure the names we have are official, per se. They may have come from the Lionhead Forums, but the post with the names in was just made by a member. I'd be interested in knowing what the rest of the filenames are, and we can then decide which to use. It wouldn't be much of an issue to change them. For reference purposes, the link directs to the Wayback Machine, so effectively still works, and you are able to read almost the whole thread. I've found some stuff I didn't know before as well. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 09:34, March 22, 2013 (UTC)
Ah I had thought it was posted by a dev team member with the official names. Though I do think the names currently in use are more suitable for the morphs, but it would be interesting to know if they aren't the official names we have. Oh and Enodoc, could you look at the last few edits for Witchwood Stones? I recall a while back that another page that had the info the user is trying to add was rewritten to avoid having actual curse words on the article, and to me it seems a bit pointless to just post that info about one thing when all possibilities are covered on the easter egg page. I've left the page alone for now, after attempting to keep it off. Figured I'd let someone else deal with it since its late at night for me.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 09:40, March 22, 2013 (UTC)
I agree. Ossuarium, if you are reading this, go ahead and post the names you have found for the morphs from the game files, beside our equivalents, at the top of this page.
Witchwood Stones has almost reached edit war locking, so it's marked as such. I'll try to add a compromise by linking to the Easter Eggs page. I will be removing the video link completely, however. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 12:55, March 22, 2013 (UTC)
Ah yea that would have been a good compromise. I wasn't thinking much at that late point at night. Thanks for sorting it out :)--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 20:14, March 22, 2013 (UTC)
I posted it. Big differences are Clockwork is labeled as Reaver, Ornate set is Auroran, and Elegant is Royal. Right now I'm tearing apart the game files just to see what is what but it's very difficult. A lot of it is jumbled in different programming languages, some parts are encrypted, etc. so it's like reading a book with missing pages. There are a ton of errors as well, it looks like they didn't hire a proper documentor, so trying to find what entry leads to what entry is almost impossible due to the amount of missing information. I just got the Fable III 2 weeks ago, so that's why I'm late to the party, although I'm an avid Fable TLC fan. Ossuarium (talk) 13:49, March 23, 2013 (UTC)
Some other discrepencies I found were sand furies are labelled as dervishei in the files. The Splade is called the Mogo Shafter, Really Sharp Pair of Scissors is Fishknife, TYPO is Twatter, The Love Sword is Pork Sword, Tee Killer Shooter is Sailor Geri Shooter, Shrieking Pilgrim is Ethelbert's Boner, Sandgoose is Molynator. Ossuarium (talk) 14:17, March 23, 2013 (UTC)
I think some of those ↑ would be good in the Trivia :P
Looking at the filenames, here's what I suggest:
 • Keep the ones that are the same (obviously).
 • Change the Bone body morph (Evil 2); it doesn't really look much like the handle morph that is actually called Bone. I would suggest Scaled.
 • Keep what we have for those that are called Good 1 (Angelic), Good 2 (Elegant), Evil 2 (Onyx).
 • Change the Elegant handle morph to Royal, as it isn't particularly comparable to the Elegant (Good 2) body morph.
 • Change Balverine to Intricate. Personally, I never liked that name anyway.
 • Keep Clockwork as Clockwork. It's more descriptive than Reaver.
 • Keep Arcane as Arcane. It's more appropriate than Spell.
 • Ornate vs Auroran. Open to suggestions here. Personally, I think Auroran fits for the handle morphs, as the styling of them is very similar to Auroran architecture. On the other hand, the body morphs seem generically Ornate rather than specifically Auroran.
 • Keep the colours as they are.
 • Change the auras to the filenames.
Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 23:09, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
Agreed. I'd rather go for Auroran > Ornate for the sake of matching. Ossuarium (talk) 01:26, March 25, 2013 (UTC)
On top of that, Aurora's_Shield and Desert_Fury , the two legendaries that deal with Aurora continent directly, use those morphs. Ossuarium (talk) 01:38, March 25, 2013 (UTC)

RE: The Scimitar of Baron Slaying +3 Edit

Just wondering if you saw the photo on Talk:The Scimitar of Baron Slaying +3?-Garry Damrau(talk) 00:01, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Yup I saw it lol. But are we sure the requirement is 250000 gamerscore? It might be 25000, which on an old account I've achieved lol.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 00:03, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Well we would have to ask Ossarium to check. I dont play it on PC and don't have the inclination to hack (anymore).Garry Damrau(talk) 00:22, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
P.S. I have some friends with 25,000. I will ask them to check.Garry Damrau(talk) 00:24, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
P.S.S. I'm still interested if the Thundraga unlocks lightning damage by using fire.Garry Damrau(talk) 00:27, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Sadly I don't have the Thundaraga due to not having the Windows 7 phone. I ish a poor boy :( lol--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 01:23, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
I did it personally, and it was indeed lightning that worked. Fireball did not up the bar. I'm sorry about that 250,000 number, it was a typo. here is the actual script:
RequiredValue 25000

I guess that solves two of the oldest weapon upgrading questions we had. Thanks Ossuarium and thanks Lycos for tolerating my anal retentiveness.Garry Damrau(talk) 09:18, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
Heh its fine GD, to be honest my questioning and such is due to my OCD. Yes I am obsessive complusive about a lot of things, info being one of them. Its hard walking down the street too, all the restaurants of various food styling littered over the place instead of each in one section, like one area for Indian, one for Chinese etc but no its Chinese, Indian, Thai, Mexican here, the same over there bleh.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 10:34, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Fable III FandomEdit

On the topic of my edit on the Fable III page, if you go on, you will see a lot of people mentioning how diappointed they were by Fable III.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Danny Akenson (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~

I've seen the complaints, but that is a small margin compared to saying many. I've seen more on other sites and forums praising the game, much more then have complained on so in regards which is the many? But that kind of thing is not needed on the article about the game, the article is mostly about the actual games stats not the reception of the game.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 04:23, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry if this has already been explained somewhere, but I thought it might be faster just to ask here.

I have a few help videos for Fable and Fable II (keys, silver chests, gargoyles, demon doors, etc). Do I post them to the video section of the wiki (displayed on the side bar next to images), or would it be more appropriate to post to the individual pages?

Nixerix (talk) 07:59, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Ah that kind of thing is more the maintenance of the wiki, which I'm not very skilled at. Your best bet would be to ask Enodoc for advice with that. I'm more a clean-up and anti-vandalism type, though I do occasionally add info to the articles when I learn it.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 08:02, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Okay, well thank you for pointing me in the right direction. :)

An interesting quotation Edit

We recently discussed some odd quotes from Fable III, well I heard one that really surprised me. I was walking around the castle with Elise and noting the phrases she uses. The first time she said this I was not sure if I heard it right but the second time I listened very closely. She said "I'd follow you to the ends of the Earth, my love." As far as I know Elise is not aware of other planets. Sounds like Albion is on an alternate universe planet Earth. If The Flash and Green Lantern can have more than one Earth, why can't Lionhead?-Garry Damrau(talk) 03:22, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

Historical projectEdit

I'm only gonna be on for a few minutes. The photos can wait until I get the others downloaded. No hurry. Wassup?Garry Damrau(talk) 02:22, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Darn, didn't get to it in time. I'm not liking the new update for MSN I don't get my message alerts anymore. Anyway, I was in need of some assistance with the Historical references page. I've kinda hit a snag with something, there are actual Easter eggs about previous games. However, the help I need is searching for things that would be similar to this page: Here for it was the inspiration for the article. Mainly just needing help to sort through the easter egg pages and anything that would seem to fit to link there, I'm currently working on wording the page and page layout via a word editor off site and when its completed shall post all the info in one hit :). This also goes out to anyone else wishing to help with this kinda thing. Maybe break it up into split tasks, like one person does one page and another does another. Once that is done, we'd need things for each Fable section, such as the books and each game (except for Fable/TLC). Currently I'm working on two things: Layout and page set up, and the historical references from Fable: The Journey. So need someone for Fable II, fable III, and Fable books.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 06:25, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Revamping the Forums Edit

For a while I've been thinking our Forums could do with an update to make them easier to use, more organised, and more accessible to editors. Please see here and leave your thoughts. Thanks, Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 22:50, June 4, 2013 (UTC)

Fable Anniversary Avatar Item Codes Edit

MrMatthewAllen has given us some, to share with the community. Any suggestions on what we could do with them?

Giveaways, rewards, competitions, etc seem to be the usual thing to do with codes. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 22:56, November 1, 2013 (UTC)

Hm we could have a small contest, maybe a bit of a "Who wants to be a millionaire" style contest, using Fable Lore as the source of questions, but we'd need to find some way so the answers can't be looked up. Or some similar kind of competition.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 05:27, November 2, 2013 (UTC)
That's a nice idea. Not sure how we'd be able to stop the answers from being looked up, although maybe we could find a way to stick a timer on the questions so there would be no time to look them up. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 17:12, November 2, 2013 (UTC)
Another way would be to figure out questions of which the only way to find the answers is in the game, like an example being "How many mushrooms are growing in the nymph chamber in Hobbe Cave?" as long as the answer isn't findable on the wiki we could allow it, that way there would be a challenge to it making things more interesting.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 21:12, November 2, 2013 (UTC)

Dead Hamster Patnership Update Edit

I've been discussing the partnership with Matthew Allen recently, and we've come up with a few ideas we'd like everyone's input on. The ideas can be found in the newest message in Community Corner. Have a read, then head over to the discussion thread and leave your thoughts.

Thanks! --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 23:11, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

Achievement link Edit

The # sign is what makes it an illegal page name. I think we will can to do it this way. (#SPOILERS). The page name will be (SPOILERS) but the link will show the achievement name. Garry Damrau(talk) 09:57, December 14, 2013 (UTC)

Indeed that may work best. I left it out when I made the page anyway, as I was discussing with Matthew Allen and we're not sure whether that is the actual name of the achievement. --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 10:34, December 14, 2013 (UTC)
The other reason I removed it is just in case LH are keeping it as hidden, like hiding the name but giving the details of the achievement in a reverse of how they did with the Crawler one in Fable III.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 03:02, December 15, 2013 (UTC)

Message Wall Edit

Hi there! Now that we've entered a new "cycle" here at The Fable Wiki, I would like to ask your opinion once again, this time on whether or not we should activate the Message Wall feature, which would replace User talk pages. The Message Wall functions just like the late Forums (which, I was ensured by Wikia, would not disappear if they were deactivated; seems they were wrong), and notifies users in the same way. User talk pages would get archived (safely). Let me know your thoughts! Thanks, Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 00:29, February 4, 2014 (UTC)

Hey Enodoc, I think that sounds like a great idea, having the message wall system should be a good thing to implement. I'm all for things like this, though my time is limited due to work. Will use my days off to work on some things with Anniversary since I'll be getting that this week.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 03:54, February 4, 2014 (UTC)

reaver's manorEdit

I've noticed that the reaver's manor page doesn't have an interior section describing the interior and what is there about the interior is in shambles. I think it would be a good idea to add such a section, what about you? --Hutchm (talk) 23:30, April 6, 2014 (UTC)

Bonus Game Content Edit

Just thought you would be interested to know that the contents (Chicken Suit, Hero Doll, Lionhead Tattoo, Expression Book, and Apocalyptic Pink Dye) in the chest in the Chamber of Fate can be bought at vendors/shops and/or or acquired in the chest after fighting in the Colosseum once the new Fable II Bonus Game Content DLC is bought. This might also be true for those people who had used the LCE redeem code. Garry Damrau(talk) 10:24, April 7, 2014 (UTC)

Frame Rate IssueEdit

Hey, i'm the guy who added that frame rate article to the bugs section. Well... the story is that one of my characters got the sex change bug and lost pretty much all the stuff it had (upgrades, clothes, weapons) and after trying what you said, it made me re download an update and then it... well, coruppted that file...

I had made a new hero from the begining a few days ago and got her back up to the point my original glitched one was at so I didnt lose anything.

Well, thanks for at least trying to help me, but im not poking that stick anymore...

Sorry for the sloppy editing... 05:57, October 9, 2014 (UTC)

It sounds to me like the corruption of your file came not from the clearing of the cache, but some other issue, likely linked to the bug you mentioned. As for the frame rate issue, it is common that any game will have this effect, it comes from the fact that the cache of the xbox stores date such as the visible blocks within a loaded area in every game we play. Over time, this builds up to the point that the cache starts getting clogged up and thus lagging frame rates occur. Other issues that can happen is games freezing or loading blank spaces. Games such as Elder Scrolls or Minecraft can speed up the data build up in the cache, however playing games for large amounts of time also builds it up. It is recommended to clear the cache ones every so often, to prevent such issues occurring.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 06:26, October 9, 2014 (UTC)
Perhaps, but the frame rate decay alone has coruppted my file before, forcing me to remake the same character four times in the past year or so. Like I said in the article I edited, it's a slow ride to ruin that gets to a point that when I try to join someone's game, it just tells me that my file got corupt and makes me start over (even when no other glitches are effecting it). 15:58, October 9, 2014 (UTC)
It does that with all games effected by the cache frame rate slowing. If you play a game like Skyrim or Fallout for a long period of time, the cache builds up and when it gets too much, it starts freezing the game to the point of being unable to play it without it freezing, this can lead to the game save becoming corrupt. When I first encountered this issue, I went to the Xbox website and asked one of the support team on how to handle the issue, they told me to periodically clear my systems cache and it would help, after doing it that first time I always clear the cache whenever the first hint of trouble arises.--Lycos Devanos Drop me a line 23:44, October 9, 2014 (UTC)
Well, i'll keep that in mind from now on then. I guess i'll just make a sort of a "sacrificial character" to protect my main files from the risk of corruption whenever I do that though. Playing fable online feels like running through a minefield of file destorying bugs... 00:26, October 10, 2014 (UTC)
