In the opening days of the Age of Industry and the end of the Hero King's life in Albion, Terrance had already served as the duke of Overland for some time, granted the position by the king of an unknown continent to the east. Though the king originally held Terrance to be a brave, noble, and selfless man, he discovered to his disappointment that once in a position of power, Terrance was indistinguishable from any other politician.
While Terrance makes his way back to his king after running late on an excursion, the king hears the story of the Balverine Order from an individual who only calls himself "The Narrator." After the Narrator is finished with his story, Terrence returns at last, asking to be introduced to the Narrator. Recognizing Terrance for what he really was, the Narrator shoots him in the shoulder with a silver bullet, revealing him to be a White Balverine. As the king beholds Terrance's transformation with a stunned horror, the Narrator simply prepares another shot and kills the wounded beast, proclaiming his hunt for the supposed last member of the Balverine Order concluded. When the guards appear and ask who killed the Balverine, the Narrator is gone, and the king is credited with the kill.
