Merpeople?[]

Where does this notion of humans evolving from merpeople come from? (Was there a Fable II tattoo that mentioned it, perhaps?) -- TheIndifferentist 15:19, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

There is nothing about merpeople in any of the games. Someone has just been on a spree adding that and other unknown info to things about the history of Fable, such as the Court and the Void.--Alpha Lycos 06:44, July 4, 2011 (UTC)
So, can we edit this out? Because I've not heard of it in canon either. Revolution Chick 19:57, August 8, 2011 (UTC)
"Following the discovery of cave paintings in an island off the coast of Albion, historians have ascertained the existence of a civilization which predates the Old Kingdom: the Abyssals. Their connection to the sea was such that many experts believe they were actually amphibious." -- From the description of the Abyssal Tattoo in Fable II, available at The Human Museum in Bowerstone Old Town Slums. We should add this somewhere so we at least have a record of it. TheIndifferentist 22:55, August 8, 2011 (UTC)
True but it doesn't say anything about a Merpeople race, just amphibious people. Its like how people say real humans evolved from monkeys.--Alpha Lycos 23:32, August 8, 2011 (UTC)
In Fable II there is mention of "Cities Under the Sea" and the quest in Fable III called New World confirms their existance in the shipwreck in Driftwood.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.50.120 (talk) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~
I've done that quest in Fable III many times and never heard mention of merpeople. All current evidence points simply to merpeople being speculation and nothing more.--Alpha Lycos 04:21, August 9, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, it must of been Sirens then, that the humans could be descendent from. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.50.120 (talk) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~
There is no clear evidence of Sirens existing. Their only mention is in Down by the Reeds, and Malusa's potentially-paranoid log, which suggests that the so-called "sirens" that she saw were actually just stranded travellers. Also, purely for reference purposes, where are the "Cities Under the Sea" mentioned? --Enodoc(Talk) (User Space) 12:11, August 9, 2011 (UTC)
If the "Cities under the sea" are actually mentioned it could be referencing Bioshock and/or the Lost city of Atlantis.--Alpha Lycos 12:19, August 9, 2011 (UTC)
The Hero's spouse or children are the most likely ones to mention it in Fable II.
