Summoners are powerful beings created by the dark wizard Hallik. After being cast out of the Old Kingdom for his dangerous Will Power, he created the Summoners by reanimating the dead bodies of fallen warriors. They are large, armour clad, and attack using both a large sword and shock spells. In Fable: The Lost Chapters and Fable Anniversary, they ally with Jack of Blades for unknown reasons.

In the book "Creatures of the North", you will find Scythe's handwriting in the book saying, "They should have faded with the centuries as I have. Unless something else has returned them to this world..." You can find this book upon your entrance to the Northern Wastes Foothill, you can also find it in a house in Snowspire.

Stats[]

Name Health Experience Renown Strengths Weaknesses
Blue Summoner 6000 80 40 Drain Life, Lightning spell Sharpening, Piercing Augmentation, Fire spell
Red Summoner 6000 80 40 Drain Life, Lightning spell Sharpening, Piercing Augmentation, Fire spell

Notes[]

  • Summoners have the exact same loot and drop rates as Minions.
  • Summoners are one of the few enemies in game that do not fall over after a Flourish or Powerful spell.
  • Using spells like Enflame against a Summoner, whilst close up to them, will bug out their AI and cause them to repeat their idle animation.
  • Summoners do about 3x as much damage to you if you are wearing Plate Armor, presumably because Lightning's conductivity to metal.
  • In the Rescue the Archaeologist quest, a Minion Dreadwing is referred to as a "Summoner" by The Guildmaster, which can erect barriers and spawn enemies.
  • Once a Summoner has been defeated, they will fall to their knees and send off one final shock wave that can bring the Hero's combat multiplier down to zero. It is best to make sure that you stand clear of this blast or you will get very little XP from fighting them.

Trivia[]

  • It's very possible that Hallik and Nostro have similar powers, as both can reanimate fallen warriors.
  • According to Scythe, it is Jack of Blades that is responsible for binding the Summoners to the world.
  • A Summoner's sword can be acquired and wielded if the player has the Creature Weapons and Outfits Pack in Fable Anniversary.
  • If the player spawns a Summoner's Sword in Fable: The Lost Chapters, then the angle of the weapon won't match the Hero's hands when equipped.
  • In the game files, Summoners appear to have a 'summonable creature' definition, which implies that the developers might have planned for the player to be able to acquire the creature as a Summon.
  • Summoners obtained their name from their nature of summoning themselves, due to the fact that their origin was from a powerful wizard that was cast out for using dangerous dark magic. They can also summon their own Dreadwing and Wardogs as shown in the Ship of the Drowned quest.
