Rescue the Archaeologist is a quest in Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters. This quest card will be available in the Heroes' Guild map room after speaking to Theresa in the Grey House. Jack's minions have captured the Archaeologist to prevent him from revealing the location of the secret entrance to Bargate Prison. The Hero must save the Archaeologist in order to know how to rescue his mother.

WalkthroughEdit

The quest begins in Bowerstone Jail, where the guards will tell the hero that the Minions plan to take the Archaeologist to Bargate Prison. The guards may follow the Hero and help him on this quest. Once the Hero gets to Windmill Hill, a minion will cast a magic wall that will prevent the Hero from proceeding until the minion is dead. There are also more guards in this area, but the minions may kill them before the Hero can ask them to follow him.

In Gibbet Woods, another minion will summon a rock troll, which must be killed before proceeding. Eventually the Hero will reach the Prison Path, where more minions will attack and a countdown will show the time remaining before the Archaeologist is on the boat that will take him to Bargate Prison. Once all minions in this area are dead, the quest is over and the Archaeologist will be free. He will tell the Hero about the secret passage that goes through the graveyard and into Bargate Prison before disappearing again.
