One Ring to Find is a side quest in Fable III.

Walkthrough[]

After talking to James, head to the small door to the sewers near Reaver's Factory, turn right proceed down to the end. Make a left and you'll see a Silver Key in a puddle before the bars. Types of enemies include: Bats, Mercenaries, and Hobbes. After retrieving the key make your way along the right side of the sewers till you see stairs and a bridge in the same screenshot, climb the stairs and follow the path bypassing the hole the mercenaries came out of till you come to a right turn where you will find a Treasure Chest. Return to the mercenary hole and proceed down following the sewers till you come to the tree roots where you'll find the Ring the husband lost. If you have accepted the quest Gnomes are Evil!, you will find a Gnome hanging from the sewer grating above your head. Return to James and he will begin to question why he should get married, if it is all too soon, and that now he has no excuse not to get married. Then, he will call off the marriage.

Description[]

A clumsy husband-to-be has lost his engagement ring.

Conclusion[]

You found the lost ring for James... Not so much for Sonya, who probably would have been better off had she never seen it at all.

Glitch[]

  • It is possible to complete this quest without doing battle: after accepting the quest from James, instead of entering the sewers, go to the long row of houses across from the Orphanage and between the properties Plum House and Sailor's Retreat your dog will point to a dig spot. Digging here will unearth James' Engagement Ring. You must then only enter and exit the sewers and return the ring to James. Note that this works with any previously undiscovered dig spots in the Bowerstone area. However, you will still need to explore the sewers later to retrieve the Silver Key and the Gnome that can be found there.

Trivia[]

  • The title of this quest is most likely derived from The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien, as the title is part of The One Ring's inscription - "One Ring to find them".
