Ned Martin was a second-rate Bandit and thief. He was known for sticking up many pawnbrokers until he was shot to death by a Town Guard. It is implied that his hand kept firing his pistol after he died, killing or wounding nearby citizens, until it fell off. His gun, Dead Ned's Revolver, is available as a prize for Reaver's Wheel of Misfortune game.

• He may have been inspired by Ned Kelly, a famous Irish-Australian folk hero who resisted the British rule of Australian colonies. He was known to use a revolver.
• He may also be a reference to the "Red Dead" series by Rockstar Games. His first name closely resembles the name "Red", the main character of "Red Dead Revolver", while his surname closely resembles "Marston", the surname of the main character of "Red Dead Redemption".
