When Thomas and James arrive in Blackridge, they read a note asking for someone to search for her missing daughter. Upon talking to her, she explains that her husband and daughter were in Underwood when they were attacked by balverines. Robert was ripped apart and Hannah was taken. The boys agree to help her and set off. Upon reaching a nearby town, it is revealed that Hannah and Robert faked their deaths in order to escape the abusive and malevolent Mrs. Mullins.
