Mercenary Customs is a quest in Fable III. It becomes available after completing the quest Leaders and Followers.

Walkthrough[]

In Mistpeak Valley at the Mistpeak Monorail Station is Billy the trader. With the road to Brightwall full of bandits, Billy is unwilling to make the trek to Brightwall by himself. After accepting the quest take Billy's hand and make your way towards Brightwall. On route to Brightwall, there will be three mercenary ambushes along the way. Dispatch them as you can and continue to Brightwall.

Description[]

Escort a wandering trader to Brightwall.

Conclusion[]

You arrive safely in Brightwall. As an added bonus, the man you were escorting wasn't killed. He's sure to show his gratitude by offering you a discount.

Notes[]

  • Although he fears attacks from the local mercenaries, Billy proves to have quite a lot of health, making it extremely difficult for him to die.
  • Billy can get stuck in random places on the mountian if you run too far ahead of him. Interacting with him may fix this.
  • Billy will complain about bandits along the way, stating "I don't know why the King doesn't do something about it." Humourously, he will say this even if you do this quest after becoming Monarch.
  • Billy will get stuck in water if you try and take him through it. Interacting is not possible.
  • If one were to do the Escaped Prisoner side-job within Brightwall right after escorting Billy to town, then he can be the target of the arrest.
  • Despite a discount at his stall being mentioned in the conclusion, it never appears to be opened.
