The Master Chief's Armor, along with the Energy Sword also featured in the Halo Franchise makes an appearance in Fable II. The Armor and Sword are available as part of the "Otherworldly Content" that was bundled with the Fable II Limited Edition. The armour is known as Hal's Outfit and includes boots, gloves, pants, a coat and a helm.

Hal's Sword (the energy sword) does a base 22 damage, roughly comparable to Steel weapons in the game. However it comes with three augment slots, and you can put in augments that increase the power of it and your protection, along with a ghoul augment, you'll never be able to get knocked out.

The sword and armor are found in a chest next to the first Cullis Gate you encounter in Fable 2, the chest is locked unless you have entered the promotional code and downloaded the Otherworldly content pack from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

There is also a title available from the Bowerstone title vendor called "Master Chief", this is also included in the Otherworldly content pack.

The DLC introduces Hal's Rifle. In the Knothole Island downloadable content in the mysteries store, after completing the main quest there is a new package of which inside is a common weapon to the Halo series the Assault Rifle, but this time it is plated silver and has a distinctive look, like the armor. In order to obtain this item you must trade a pure experience extract for it. The Assault Rifle has an Ammo counter that says how much ammo is left in the clip, Hal's rifle has what seems to be the infinity sign instead of numbers and like the set, does not look as advanced like Halo's.

"Long ago, when Albion was still under the rule of the Old Kingdom, a rift in space opened a portal between dimensions. Through the rift stepped a warrior of immense power, clad in green armor and carrying a crystal sword. Though he never revealed his real name, he was known to all as Hal."

• Master Chief and Cortana, near the end of Halo 3 were trapped in a battle frigate far from Earth, trapped at the other end of the universe and were waiting for rescue.
• It is possible that the name "Hal" simply comes from a shortening of "Halo
