Jack's Hammer is a legendary hammer in Fable III. It may be found inside the Auroran Mine or in The Moral View in Aurora. Rarely it can be found in one of the other random weapon locations.

Description[]

Imbued with pure evil, this hammer was used by the infamous Jack of Blades to activate magical focal sites hundreds of years ago.

Base Damage[]

Star Level 0 1 2 3 4 5
Damage 24 39 55 71 108 143

NOTE: This is based on the star level of the weapon. Does NOT factor in Strength (Swords, Hammers) or Stature (Pistols, Rifles) multiplier and/or bonuses from Augments.

Augments[]

Bonus Name Objective Reward
Blademaster Kill 50 villagers or soldiers with flourishes. +30% Damage to Humans
Shade Kill 400 (300) shadow creatures. +30% Damage to Dark Minions and Sentinels
Murderer Kill 100 villagers or soldiers. +20 Extra Damage

Any figures in brackets are where the PC version has reduced requirements.

Bugs[]

  • Completing the "Blademaster" augment will turn the hammer's head black. Subsequently completing the "Murderer" augment may undo this change, causing the weapon to revert to its original colour. This can usually be avoided by completing the "Murderer" augment first. Different players have had different experiences here and the mechanics of transformation should be dealt with cautiously for the interested player, regardless of details.

Trivia[]

  • Contrary to the hammer's description, in Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters, Jack of Blades was spotted at each focus site armed with only a simple master cleaver, and then a master katana. However, since he gained the Septimal Key from Hook Coast beforehand, it is possible that the key itself is, in fact, the hammer. However, this could also simply be an oversight on the part of Lionhead.
  • "Jack's Hammer" could be a play on words for a "jackhammer," which is a pneumatic, electromechanical or hydraulic drill.
  • The description of Jack's Hammer misidentifies the focus sites as "focal sites." This could be a mistake by the developers, as the Focus Sites are referred to as 'Focal' in the original Fable's game files.
  • Jack's Hammer has the highest raw damage out of all the weapons in Fable III, as it can deal up to 163 once the "Murderer" augment has been completed.
