Greatwood Gorge is a region in Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters that lies between Greatwood Lake and Greatwood Cullis Gate. When you first come to this region, it'll be blocked by bandits. After you speak to the bandit you will be given the quest Bandit Toll where you will be required to either pay a sum of gold or fight your way to the leader and kill him. After completing the quest the area will be free of enemies the next time you pass though.

This region contains one Demon Door that holds Wellow's Pickhammer, and will open only if you perform a deed of great evil in front of him.

You may also choose to kill all the bandits except the leader. If you do so, the next time you come through the bandits will be non-hostile and you can choose to pay or kill the bandits again. As long as the leader stays alive, the area will keep respawning bandits every time you pass through.
