The Dragonstomper .48 is one of a series of six pistols with the same name.

Fable II[]

Reaver reveals to the Hero of Bowerstone that these pistols were created for "six lucky people", and that he has killed four of them himself. The Dragonstomper is unobtainable by the Hero in Fable II. The pistol as depicted in Fable II is a reskinned Master Clockwork Pistol, due to the speed that Reaver fires it at Spire Guards in the cave near the exit to the Smuggler's Beach.

Fable III[]

The person with the sixth pistol is the Hero of Brightwall, once obtained in Fable III. It is mentioned on the weapon's description that five have been collected by Reaver, and you possess the sixth.

The Dragonstomper .48 you receive in Fable III looks significantly different than Reaver's gun in Fable II, but this is simply because Lionhead Studios had to use pieces of the new weapon morph system, since this is the case with all the Fable III weapons, similar to what happened with weapons previously seen such as the Thunderblade.

It is one of the most powerful weapons in the game and as such it is highly sought after both online and offline. However, the Dragonstomper .48 is part of a small group of weapons that are extremely rare. These can only be found in the Sanctuary Treasury Chest and the 50 silver key chest in Bowerstone Castle's garden.

Description[]

Only six of these fine weapons were ever made. Reaver has collected five of them. You now possess the sixth.

Trivia[]

  • Before Reaver was around, a man named Wicker was "The finest shot Albion had ever seen", and wielded the Red Dragon. When Reaver appeared, Wicker challenged him to an honourable duel - Reaver responded by shooting Wicker in the head with the Dragonstomper .48.
  • There is a grave in Bowerstone Cemetery where a presumed former owner of a Dragonstomper .48 is buried. It states: "Here lies Count Zamoyski, lived by a Dragonstomper, died by a Dragonstomper."
  • When exiting the Fairfax tombs, a tombstone can be found near the exit. It tells of a man who only was 48 years when he died. And it was Reaver's .48 which ended him.
  • Between Fable II and Fable III only three out of the six Dragonstomper .48 owners are referenced. Reaver, yourself, and Count Zamoyski.
  • In the eBook Fable: Reaver, Reaver mentions to have had his Dragonstomper .48 magically enchanted in order to never have it ran out of bullets.
  • The Dragonstomper .48 in Fable II does 100 damage which is more than twice that of the master clockwork pistol.
