With Fable Anniversary launching next week, I think it's time to discuss what we'll be doing with our existing Fable/TLC content.
New content. First of all, I see no point in creating new articles for Anniversary things that are exactly the same as they were before. If there's a minor change to something, I would suggest it be added to the existing article under a Fable Anniversary header. Equally, anything that is brand new to Anniversary will need its own article, and will need to be put into an Anniversary category.
Category:Armour. It was called clothing in-game, and every category since has been called clothing. So I propose moving this to Category:Fable Clothing, and then finding any TLC-only items within and moving those separately to Category:Fable TLC Clothing. Note that if everyone is happy with this move, Enobot will do it, so it doesn't need to be done manually.
Images. I'd like everyone's thoughts on this, but I think the best thing to do with images, is to try and keep both a TLC image and an Anniversary image on the page if possible. With weapons, this is easy, as there's a bunch of side-by-side weapon images waiting to be added. For characters, the best thing for the infobox is concept art if there is any, but after that, I'd propose a side-by-side image pair again. For locations, a top-and-bottom comparison should work quite well (as location images are usually landscape in orientation). For everything else, I guess take it on case-by-case for what looks best.
Article Update Project. So once those initial points are decided on, we now come to the Major Point. A lot of our older Fable/TLC articles do not match the style that has been followed for Fable II and Fable III articles. Compare, for example, Enflame with Inferno. I propose initiating a Fable Wiki Project whereby all of the articles about Fable/TLC content are brought up-to-date with the style of Fable II and later articles, using Fable Anniversary to give a fresh perspective on this old content. It wouldn't be a quick-fix project, and would likely run on for some time, but it seems to me to be the best time to update the older articles.
Let me know what you think!
