The Ancient Scrolls are thirteen scrolls that are needed for The Archaeologist quest. They are scattered all around Albion and they will be easier to find with the dog as he/she will lead you to the dig spot as soon as you enter the region. Scrolls 10-13 can still be found otherwise by using the spade from your inventory.
After collecting all the Ancient Scrolls, they eventually lead Belle Rennock to the Archon's Dream gem within an underground structure buried underneath Fairfax Gardens in the excavation site.
Each of the scrolls start with the same opening sentence "This old parchment is somewhat worn by the passage of time." then continues with individual description (see below). All scrolls have the same base value and star rating. These will not appear in the inventory after they have been given to Belle.

Notes[]
- Scroll 13 could be a possible nod to A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, where 42 is the answer to the (unknown) Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything, and Earth was the supercomputer created to find the question.
- Scroll 10 could be a reference to an album by New Zealand band Dadamah. The cover artwork for the Album is multiple overlapping scribbles where only the words "This is not a Dream" are legible.
- Scroll 9 could be referring to a specific individual or party rushing Lionhead Studios to finish Fable II.
- The picture on Scroll 5 could possibly be the Sandgoose.
